Wood covered in leather with Goyardine motif, wooden reinforcements and brass studs, band with the colors of the Spanish flag on the cover and sides and the monogram M.C.M. on one side. Inner lined with silk, the inside of the cover matelassé. Numerous paper labels applied, worn. Wear and signs of time.   The portmanteau belonged to the Infanta of Spain Maria Cristina of Bourbon and Battenberg, daughter of the King of Spain Alfonso XIII and wife of Count Enrico Eugenio Marone-Cinzano. 18.5 x 35.4 x 20.9 in.
