The seals read 'chen' 臣 and 'Gao' 誥.Dong Gao (1740–1818), a poet and calligrapher, and son of the famous court painter, Dong Bangda (1699–1769). He took his jinshi degree in 1763, was a noted and high-ranking government official, who served Emperors Qianlong and Jiaqing for more than four decades. He held numerous illustrious posts and supervised thepilation of several Imperial histories and anthologies.董誥（1740-1818）。董邦達子，浙江富陽人，字雅倫，一字西京，號蔗林。乾隆二十八年（1763）進士，任《四庫全書》副總裁，官至戶部尚書，以太保大學士致仕。
