This figure is striking for the exceptional size and vivid colour of the amber, which has been sensitively modelled in the round, the pomegranate held in the lady's left hand conveys a wish for numerous progeny. Amber figure carvings of this size are very rare, see an example of Guanyin figure, 18th century, similarly supported on a bed of swirling clouds, which was sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 3 October 2018, lot 3311.十八世紀琥珀工藝臻善，琥珀製品種類繁多，出自清宮造辦處或蘇州作坊。仕女手上持有石榴，象徵子孫興旺。如此大小的琥珀圓雕頗爲罕見，香港蘇富比曾售出一件十八世紀琥珀雕觀世音菩薩立像，與本拍品皆立於騰雲上，2018年10月3日，拍品3311。
