CHINESE THREE-RAILING LUOHAN CHUANG BED.QING DYNASTY.A THREE PIECE SUITE.
19th century or earlier, Qing dynasty, China. This nice example in Hongmu or Huanghuali with three railings on three sides, each carved with a dragon. The back railing depicting two opposing dragons centering a Lingzhi all centering a woven hardboard mat seat within rectangular bed frame. The aprons carved with archaic scrolls raised on four stepped square legs terminating in square feet, similarly carved.
Measure: 32" overall h x 80" l x 29" d.
CONDITION: Structurally very good, retaining original elements. All surfaces have been cleaned of original finish and all patina. Now with mellow brown color, and French polished surfaces.
