Da Guo Zao; Fine Japanese Cast Iron Tetsubin Teapot well designed with a figure at a scholar's table in high relief to one side, the reverse with a walledpound with cast inscription, another inscription cast under the back end of handle; the wrought iron handle inset with gold & silver forming leaves and fruit, the heavy bronze cover with incised inscription inside and a swivel finial to top. Height to top of handle 9 1/2 inches (24 cm.).
