Ca. 200-300 AD. A rare and beautiful bronze open-work plate brooch, also known as a "Wheel of Fortune" due to its unique wheel shape. The brooch is composed of a bronze wheel featuring radiating, pointed arms that intersect in the center of the wheel. In the center, the wheel is embossed with a detailed depiction of the Sun symbol, which can be seen in multiple cultures and religions as a representation of life and rebirth. Cf.
