此朝珠盒作正圆形，平顶、直壁、平底，形制规矩。通体内外髹朱漆，器壁及盖面有金漆装点，满雕“卍”字不到头纹，盖面对称四开光，内雕“指日高升”四字，开光之间衬以花叶纹。
据《清文献通考·王礼十七、十八》和《清会典·礼部·仪制清吏司三》记载，皇帝、宗室、王公、异姓世爵侯和文官五品、武官四品以上才可配戴朝珠，朝珠盒即王公贵族和高层官员所特制，传世少见。
