A RARE MANCHU SILK AND GOLD-THREAD CEREMONIAL MILTARY UNIFROM 18/19th Century (9)A RARE MANCHU SILK AND GOLD-THREAD CEREMONIAL MILTARY UNIFROM18/19th CenturyComprising a sleeved tunic and open-split apron, two epaulettes, two under arm protectors with repoussé and pierced gilt copper dragon layered shaped panels, two small, shaped protectors, and a spine protector, the embroidered fabric with a dense overall Y-shaped gilt-wire-pattern ground decorated with multiple round brass studs, that cover all parts, the uniform edged in black velvet, various dragon roundels to the tunic, apron and epaulettes, and the spine protector embroidered in high relief with a full-faced dragon head at the top and a smaller profiled dragon head to the tail end.
