此三件玉牌为翡翠材质，水头十足，完整度高。作者以取俏色手法，将黄翡中包含的绿色刻作佛像。三佛像借鉴传统佛造像中“一佛二菩萨”的经典形制，分别于三块翡翠玉牌中刻画“西方三圣”之形象。 一佛二菩萨中，佛为弥勒佛，菩萨则为日光菩萨、月光菩萨。因此在雕刻时，二菩萨造型不同，但均为宽额丰颐、凤眼微睨，胸前饰璎珞宝珠，袍袖飘逸的女性形象。弥勒佛不作契此相，而是以本来面目出现，颇有古意。
