Fine Pair Chinese 18th / early 19th Century carved Red Cinnabar Lacquer Boxes each shaped cover carved to the top with a mirror image of a bird and lizhi (lychee) fruit, stems and leaves in high relief; the insides and bases in black lacquer. Width 4 7/8 inches (12.2 cm.). Height 2 inches (5 cm.).
