|此挂屏颇富文人意趣，采用浮雕、阴刻多种工艺，雕琢荷塘清趣图，宛若莲池一角，池水中莲花莲叶高低起伏，错综盘结，花瓣开阖、有含苞待放者圆润饱满，有灼灼其华者丰姿摇曳，莲叶翻转，花瓣屈展，雕琢手法细致入微，有条不紊，花叶虽繁，但设计合理，观之有层出不穷之感。两岸奇石兀立，四时花卉盛开。点睛之笔为一对白玉雕琢的卢燕，口衔花枝缓缓而来。使整体布局平添生趣，可谓构思奇巧。整器刀工圆熟老练，花饰繁简有致。莲为花之高尚者，污濯其足，浑涤其芯，出淤泥而不染，自古君子以其比德，托高洁之志，此件即为文士清雅赏玩之爱物。
