款识：老桐刻 |竹刀在文房中一般用于裁纸，此竹刀配一古琴式盒，盒面阴线浅刻一丛梅花，落款“老桐刻”，文人韵味十足。|潘西凤（1736-1795），清康乾年间人，字桐冈，号老桐，清代竹刻大家。工书法，精于刻竹。与郑板桥友情甚笃，称其为濮仲谦之后金陵派竹刻第一人，亦治印，有古风，刀法圆润浑厚，名盛于时。
