鉴赏： 绿度母为二十一救度佛母之一，以其身色得名，被尊崇为能奇迹般拯救苦难众生的救助者，也是示现的度母中最为常见和活跃的。经典称二十一度母皆为观音菩萨的眼泪所化现，以助菩萨解救众生之各种苦难，《度母本源记》中即称绿度母可救狮难、象难、蛇难、水难、火难、牢难及非人类等八种苦难，故也称救八难度母。绿度母的信仰在藏传佛教中十分盛行，这一题材的造像更是藏传佛教造像中造型最为优美的一类，而绿度母则因其或舒坐或站立的灵活姿态，最易将女性形象中的婀娜多姿体现得淋漓尽致，此尊即为一典型范例。
