Bronze Statue of Four-Armed Avalokitesvara Weight:868g, Length:12.3cm, Width:9.4cm, Height:17.5cm, The bodhisattva is cast seated on a double-lotus base with the primary hands in a gesture of vitarkamudra and , and the other pair raised to each shoulder holding a jewel and a lotus flower. The bejewelled body is draped in a patterned dhoti and multiple necklaces. The hair is worn in a high chignon behind a five-petaled crown surmounted by a small Buddha head. Provenance: Acquired from the private estate from Francis Philip (1857-1950), the renewal receipt is attached as the proof to this batch of collectibles.
