THREE QUARTZ BOTTLES1780-1880 The first a superb semi-transparent chalcedony bottle of widely rounded rectangular shape and well hollowed, some pale russet markings in the otherwise gray-beige stone, the neck very slightly waisted and with a concave lip, the narrow sides with lion-mask fixed-ring handles, a recessed oval foot; the second a miniature chalcedony of rounded rectangular shape and well hollowed, the gray stone with an orange-brown inclusion to one side and a misty-white patch to the reverse side, an oval flat base; the third a dendritic chalcedony bottle of rounded rectangular shape, of honey-brown tones with darker markings, one side with a moss-like inclusion resembling tree foliage and enhanced by low relief carving suggesting a rocky foreground; stoppers. 2in (5.3cm) high; 1 7/16in (3.8cm) high; 1 15/16in (5cm) high (3). 1780-1880年 玉髓鼻烟壺三只 Provenance: The first: Hugh Moss (HK) Ltd., 6 October 1996 The second: Gerry P.
