Porcelain vase in the shape of "Dan ping" 胆瓶 with a slender appearance showing a tall, straight neck on a rounded belly and a circular foot. The decoration wraps around the form and is executed in 粉彩 (Fěn cai) enamel over white glaze. This type of porcelain has its origin in the Qing court and was widely used during the Qianlong dynasty. It shows a traditional painting with stylized branches of peonies in pink and white along with a butterfly. At the base there is a six-character mark, made in red enamel "大清乾隆年制" (Dà qīng qiánlóng nián zhì).Height: 40cm; Base diameter: 12.30 cmProvenance: European private collection.
