Gilt bronze and red polychrome with patina and wear.It depicts the figure of Guanyin, seated on a throne, showing a serene face, with her gaze directed downwards. She is dressed in a multi-layered ceremonial robe with a belt. Her hands palm up and grasping the strings of the belt. Her hair is tied back on the crown of her head, with a few strands of it flowing down her back. The crown is elaborately decorated with a smaller representation of the goddess on the forehead.
