For two such pieces, one collected in 1944, formerly in the Louis Carré collection, Paris, and now in the Rautenstrauch Joest Museum in Cologne (inv.no.43953) and the other collected by Charles Monteil in 1904, in the Musée du Quai Branly (inv.no.71.1908.7.2), see J-P.Colleyn & Alii, BAMANA the art of existence in Mali , New York and Zurich, 1987, figs.196 and 197.
