The arrangement of the hairstyle and sampot follows the convention popular during the Baphuon period, stand. 18cm (7 1/8in) high. (2). Provenance: Robert Rousset, Paris (1901-1981), acquired from Capital Antique, Bangkok, 30 August 1967 Jean-Pierre Rousset, Paris (1936-2021) pare with a closely related example in the National Museum, Phnom-Penh (see M.Giteau, Khmer Sculpture and the Angkor Civilization , Fribourg, 1965, pl.79.
