吴梅（1884-1939），字瞿安，号霜厓，江苏长洲（今苏州）人。现代戏曲理论家和教育家，诗词曲作家。度曲谱曲皆极为精通，对近代戏曲史有很深入的研究。吴梅弟子很多，南京大学以研究戏曲闻名的诸位先生大抵都是吴梅门下后学。吴梅在文学上有多方面成就，在戏曲创作、研究与教学方面成就尤为突出，被誉为“近代著、度、演、藏各色俱全之曲学大师”。
