A Chelsea hexagonal Fable teapot and cover c.1752-55, painted by Jefferyes Hamett O`Neale with a depiction of the Fox Who Had Lost His Tail, the solo fox encouraging three others to cut off their brushes, in a continuous landscape with birds in flight above blown trees, the cover decorated with a moth and flowers, a red anchor mark to the underside of the handle, some good restoration, 19.5cm across. (2) Provenance: a private collection from the South West of England.
