Fine Chinese 19th Century Hard Wood 8 Drawer Medicine Case with a removable front panel with bronze corners, a handle and Bat escutcheon (with key), the inside fitted with 3 full length drawers, 2 with drop pulls, the top full length narrow drawer with shaped molding to top and bottom edge forming a tray with small "L" shaped feet to the 4 corners, and a section of 5 separate drawers to center with drop pulls, most drawers with light secondary wood in mortise & tenon construction; wood handle to top with inlaid bronze reinforcements to all corners; the base with ink marks in an old European hand, "B W / No 1". Height to handle 10 1/2 inches (26.7 cm.) X width 12 1/4 inches (31 cm.).
