His figure is located next to a steep orography. He bends his head over the Gospels, which he holds in both hands, and stands before a cross. He wears a Dominican tunic and a rosary hangs from his fingers. A pig sticks its head out from behind the figure, being the animal that mainly identifies him. According to legend, Saint Anthony used to let herds of pigs and other animals, recognisable by the bell that jingled around their necks, wander through the streets of the villages and the communal lands.
