|明末清初之际，铜器制作颇为流行，铜炉、铜制文房用器、铜塑人像等种类丰富多样，甚至出现了一些制铜名家，如胡文明，体现了当时制铜的社会风尚。执壶铜胎，喇叭口，细长颈，壶腹垂胆形，细长流，耳形执柄，尾部上翘呈如意头形，下承高圈足。其腹部设灵芝头形开光，开光内以细密的珍珠纹作地，以锤叠錾刻的形式饰高浮雕花鸟图，其中一面梅花绽放，另面錾刻秋菊飞鸟。壶身阴线浅刻牡丹花，生动繁荣，纹饰线条錾刻流畅，具有高超的艺术表现力。整器造型别致，线条柔美，且通体鎏金，工艺精湛考究，具有明显的西域金属工艺风格特点。
