Japanese Samurai Warrior With Katana Bronze Sculpture In the midst of battle, the only goal and mission of the samurai is to follow the ethic code of bushido, the way of the warrior. The Japanese warrior holds a strong stance with his knees bent, his chest forward, and his powerful and symbolic sword in his obedient hands in front of his chest. Wearing uniquely embedded armor to protect him from wounds, samurai warriors held only two options: victory or death. Warriors would often choose to commit ritual suicide called seppuku if they were ever defeated in battle, for they failed to stay loyal to the ethic code of bushido. This warrior is no different than the other millions of Japanese samurai whom sacrifice their lives for the duty of the country. The handmade bronze sculpture was cast using the archaic method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for perpetuation. He is mounted upon a black marble base with the European Bronze Finery stamp of quality and the artist Kamiko signature. Height 9'' x Width 7'' Weight: 7 LBS View photos for further details.
