Tabernacle front; Italy 16th century.Wood carving. They show faults and xylophagous damage.Measurements: 78 x 73 x 11 cm.Front of tabernacle made in wood that presents the frontis inspired in the architectural forms of the classic antiquity, which were rescued during the Renaissance. The piece is structured with a high base, structured with mouldings in the lower and upper areas. The sides protrude in order to provide shelter for two columns, which flank each side of the semicircular arch inside. A small niche can be seen between each pair of columns. Finally, above the capital, an entablature with an angular finish can be seen, and above it, the presence of the split tympanum in the centre. The piece has the symmetry and rigorous canon of classical forms; however, the unpolychromed finish and the aforementioned split tympanum indicate that the piece belongs to the 16th century.
