In 1908, as documented in the Club's minutes, a local woman wished to sell a bust and pedestal to the Club which she had acquired during her extensive travels throughout Europe in the early 1900s. In February of the following year, the club held a fundraiser to purchase the sculpture, then completed the purchase in May of 1909. The sculpture and pedestal were originally placed in the town’s library, but after the Club purchased their own building in the late 1920s, the sculpture was displayed there.In 2005 the bust and pedestal were loaned to the Lincoln College Museum in Lincoln, Illinois, where they remained on display until the present day.
