笔架精铜所铸，整器作群山相连状，五峰并出，山势较缓，连绵起伏，居中最高，两侧递减，线条洒脱饱满，造型俊落大气，赏玩间更有“横看成岭侧成峰”之感。
笔架之上铸雕鸟飞鱼跃，周围浪花四溅，水波涌动，将层峦叠嶂、惊涛拍岸之景浓缩于方寸，寓“江山永固”之意，且局部有鎏金工艺，其等级之高可见一斑。峰峦起伏沟壑处可以置笔，匠心独运，为文房案头雅器，陈设、观赏、实用效果俱佳。
