铜胎画珐琅工艺是以红铜制胎，后在胎体上敷一层白釉，烧结后用釉色彩绘，经多次填彩、修正后再烧结、镀金、磨光而成。最早由西洋传教士引进入我国，清乾隆时期为铜胎画珐琅工艺的盛期，技艺获得全面提高，品种增多，在工艺上近似景泰蓝，在装饰上又有瓷器的风貌，所以它既具有景泰蓝厚重、端庄的特色，又有瓷器明丽、清雅的风采，从而构成了它独具一格的艺术特征。此盘盘心所绘正面团龙纹，威武凶猛，颇具王者风范，外圈绘五蝠，画面布局规整，层次清晰，构图细致，值得收藏。
