准提佛母的梵文为Cundhi，译为清净或明觉，含有七亿佛母，三世诸佛之母的意思，故又称“七俱胝佛母”，是佛教中显教、密宗所共尊的大菩萨，是观世音菩萨的化身。此尊准提佛母，头戴五叶宝冠，面相圆润，神态肃穆，身着天衣，衣折流畅，宽肩平腰，饰璎珞珠宝。两手于胸结自在印，其余手伸向两侧，各持法器，呈结跏趺坐姿。整体做工规整，权衡有度，形象庄严慈祥，为汉藏风格之珍品。
