此盘形造型周正，制作规整。内外施祭红釉，釉色浓艳均匀，口沿有一线“灯草口”。底釉白中闪青，为标准的官窑器风格。最难能可贵之处在于其色泽深沉若初凝之牛血，玻璃质感强烈，并刻意仿明初的橘皮釉和“灯草口”效果。清人龚曾在《景德镇陶歌》中感慨“官古窑成重霁红，最难全美费良工，霜天晴昼精心合，一样抟烧百不同。”
