本品木胎，作长方体造型，每面均做棱花形，起伏自然。内外髹黑漆，漆色光泽明亮，浓郁深沉。通体纹饰均以锡镶边，精致美观，稳固端庄。
整器造型精巧，方正的器身与流动的边饰相映成趣，朗润的漆色与锡之质地相映成趣，文雅别致，可用可赏，殊为难得。
