蔗段式香盒，平顶直壁，底承圈足，盖身以子母口相合，盒内及底髹黑漆，余部以剔红工艺装饰，盖面以细密的水波锦纹作底，中央一只栩栩如生、活灵活现的横行霸王，背部阴刻出蟹甲纹路，两只蟹钳大而厚实，蟹足张弛有力，旁侧稻叶飘动，湖石嶙峋，其中的佳构巧思，颇具自然意趣。
螃蟹有二甲传胪之寓意，为文人所喜爱，亦有“多子”的美好祝愿。
