作者简介：杭立武（1902-1991），政治学家。1916年入金陵中学。1919年入金陵大学。1925留英，1925年获伦敦大学博士学位。1930年回国，任中央大学政治学系主任。1932年创立中国政治学会，任总干事。同年兼任管理中英庚子赔款董事会总干事。1937年，与拉贝等人士组建“南京国际安全区”，在南京大屠杀期间保护了大量难民。同年底，负责抢运国立故宫博物院和国立中央博物院文物至四川。1944年后任国民政府教育部次长、部长。
