The neck is flanked by twi applied handles shaped as kui dragons. The vase is finely painted in famille rose enamels with lotus scrolls and flowers against a lime green ground. The base bears an apocryphal mark of Emperor Daoguang, a six-character one in iron red and in seal / zhuanshu script within a square reserve against a turquoise blue ground.
