A LEMON-GLAZED PORCELAIN BOWL APOCRYPHAL MARK OF EMPEROR DAOGUANG CHINA, POSSIBLY LATE QING DYNASTY Thinly potted, it rests on a told foot left unglazed and has a round body. It is all covered with a desirable lemon yellow glaze. The base bears an apocryphal mark of Emperor Daoguang, a six-character one in underglaze cobalt blue in zhuanshu or seal script. It also bears a later inscriptions, possibly that of a collection or inventory, enameled on the glaze in iron red and reading: ‘R.V.146’.
