净瓶，梵名为kalasa，又称水瓶或澡瓶，为比丘十八物之一，多以陶或金属等制造，用以容水，供饮用或洗濯，亦可作为佛教僧侣远游时随身携带的盛水器。《千手千眼观世音菩萨大悲心陀罗尼》以其为千手观音四十手持物之一。宗教场所中的净瓶则是为僧侣们的日常用品之一，也是向佛供奉净水的供具。
此件作品取黄花梨为材，净瓶形为之。撇口，长细颈，弧腹，体线流畅唯美，底承外撇圈足。整器造型简约秀雅，亭亭玉立，窈窕隽美，正所谓斋室插花之器，必取简约典雅，小器大样的雅物，方显主人趣味。
