款识：“大明宣德年制”六字三行楷书款
据记载，蚰耳炉器形仿自宋代定窑器，耳弯如蚰，得名蚰龙。此种炉具潜龙之象，含韬晦之志，正如《易•系辞》云：“尺蠖之屈，以求信也；龙蛇之蛰，以存身也。”因此，不论帝王、文人皆喜爱之。
此件作品炉型敦厚扎实，平口外侈，气韵内涵，束颈缓收，双耳出颈曲折下收于腹部，转角圆润，挺括有力；鼓腹肥扁丰腴，精气盎然，下承圈足外撇。底心开框“大明宣德年制”六字楷书，布局舒朗，笔画清晰韧劲，力道深厚，时代特征鲜明。通体黑漆皮色厚重，库出状态，为好古者最细之色。
