A set of 47 blue and white 'Vung Tau Cargo' porcelain cups with saucers, decorated with scenes of the Three Kingdoms depicting LvBu and Diao Chan. With 35 wooden stands. China, around 1690. H. cup 3.5 cm. Diam. saucer 11.5 cm. The Vung Tau Cargo was found in a shipwreck near Vung Tau, Vietnam. The vessel sailed around 1690 from China with destination Batavia (Jakarta) where the Duch East Indies Company (VOC) would finally ship it to Holland.
