A Japanese inlaid bronze charger,Meiji period (1868-1912), of lobed circular form, decorated in iro-e takazogan, hirazogan, takabori, shishiaibori, and kebori with figures seated in a courtyard beside a garden of irises in a fan-shaped panel, and further figures by the sea or birds and maple trees in shaped panels, surrounded by blossoming sakura branches, 68cm diameterSurface scratches, small knocks to edges. One onlaid flower to the right side missing.
