A pair of Japanese Imari vases and covers,Meiji period (1868-1912), each of tapering form with a broad shoulder, painted with a basket of flowers under a flowering tree in shaped panels, surrounded by florets against a blue ground, the domed covers similarly decorated with a spear knop, 35.5cm high (4)Surface scratches and gilt losses. Both chipped to foot rim.One cover chipped to finial, the other cover chipped to rim.
