The volumes are apanied by a typewritten letter of presentation, addressed to General Ricagno on September 30, 1938, with handwritten signature of Graziani, who became Viceroy of Ethiopia on June 11, 1936. Inside the first volume he dedicates a print by Graziani himself who reads "Without the hard labor, without the sacrifice of all the hours and all the contingencies, one cannot build, I don't mean an Empire, but not even a tukul - Graziani - Addis Abeba 9 May 1937" - The volumes also contain various opening maps of war zones and a photographic documentary.
