多穆壶原为藏人拌、盛酥油茶的器皿。明清时期，由于皇室对藏传佛教的重视，许多西藏民族特色器物进入内地，多穆壶即为一例。拍品呈截筒型，口沿围边作僧帽状，器身前置曲流，另侧贴塑兽首双系以便穿绳提携。通体施素三彩为饰，以绿彩为地，上绘江崖海水，海马身姿矫健，穿行于波涛、火焰之间。装饰精美，较为少见。
