作者简介:华世奎(1864-1942)，字璧臣，祖籍江苏无锡，世居天津。十六岁中秀才，二十二岁为优贡生，三十岁中举人。1911年为奕劻内阁阁丞。辛亥革命后以“北海逸民”自署，归隐天津。工书法，学颜真卿，气魄雄伟，骨力开张。一时商店招牌，多出其手。名重京、津。
