盤敞口，淺弧壁，圈足。通體施釉，盤內帶有龍紋裝飾，盤背素面無飾，通體施釉，釉色潔白。盤心之龍紋做細頸長身騰飛狀，昂首伸抓，三趾犄張，趾尖如鉤，角若岔枝，身披鱗片，鬚髮肘毛飄逸，巨目圓睜，張口吐舌，長吻露齒，整體精神抖擻，神采飄逸。定窯器物刻繪龍紋之器物較為少見，成書於南宋的《百寶總珍集》有曰：定窯者，器物底有螭虎者好。“螭虎”為龍蛇之屬，“螭虎”紋又稱“螭”紋，戰國至東漢較為多見，一度少見，宋代再次成為流行紋飾。台北故宮博物院藏有一件金定窯劃花龍紋大盤，與本件器物極為相似，茲可對比。
