任伯年（1840～1895），名颐，字伯年，号小楼、次远、山阴道上行者、山阴道人等，室名颐颐草堂，浙江山阴人。师从任熏、任熊，承接陈洪绶、任熊画风。精人物、花卉，善写生。与吴昌硕、虚谷、高邕之、胡公寿等画界名流交往。海上画坛杰出的代表画家之一。为近代六十名家之一。
