此摆件螃蟹竹根制成。色枣褐。蟹壳椭圆，坚硬明亮，前端凹凸不平，两侧有多道折棱，背中部有凹槽。蟹眼圆浑，熠熠闪烁，双螯欲动，八爪细长，伸展于两侧。二螯粗壮有力，蟹螯处的竹木纤维如蟹足稠密刚硬的绒毛。蟹腹以阴刻纹样表现腹部壳纹，蟹脐尖长。雕刻精细，生动逼真，惟妙惟肖，远观似一只活灵活现的螃蟹正横行而来。十分适合作为收藏陈设。
