款识简介:1. 晚香斋主人,赵昌祺(1776-1847),字盛如,江苏武进人,嘉庆举人。好书画,工篆刻,故受阮元之邀,编《两浙金石志》,因生平最爱幽菊,故自号“晚香斋主人”。
2. 彭年,杨彭年,清嘉庆、道光间宜兴制壶名手。荆溪人,生卒不详。彭年弟宝年、妹凤年,都是当时制壶高手。一门眷属皆工此技,名闻一时。彭年善于配泥,所制茗壶,浑朴工致。传大彬手捏法,虽随意制成,仍具天然之致。嘉庆间陈曼生做宰溧阳,与彭年合作制壶,世称“曼生壶”,为世所珍。彭年后又常与瞿应绍、朱石梅、邓奎等人合作制壶,所做之器皆为佳品。
3. 曼生,陈曼生(1768-1822),浙江钱塘(今余杭)人,名鸿寿,字子恭,号曼生,一号种榆道人,曼公,曼龚,夹谷亭长,胥溪渔隐等,西泠八家之一,善书法,篆刻,嘉庆十六年(1811)左右,任溧阳县宰,好紫砂工艺,自绘紫砂壶十八图样,请杨彭年及杨之弟妹并邵二泉等制壶,自在壶上刻铭,称“曼生壶”。
