瑞士宝石试验所GRS编号GRS2015-069065报告，鉴定7.46克拉八边形主石为天然蓝宝石，产地斯里兰卡，未经加热处理，2015年6月28日。
据2016年1月6日媒体报道，斯里兰卡一名收藏家近日宣称，其收购了当地出产的全球最大蓝宝石，重达1404.49克拉，超过旧纪录的1395卡，估计价值至少1亿美元。有匿名收藏家指出，这颗名为“亚当之星”的蓝宝石市值已经超过以1.75亿美元。
