此式五彩龙凤纹碗创烧于明代嘉靖御窑，但烧造数量较少，至清康熙御窑厂复烧，因纹饰喜庆而受到宫廷喜爱，用于饮宴等场合，逐渐开始流行起来，其烧造自康熙延续至光绪朝，未曾断绝，成为清代官窑最为经典的品种之一，颇受藏家所喜爱。拍品敞口、深弧腹、圈足，釉面光洁莹润。碗通体纹饰以青花五彩绘就，碗心青花双圈内绘立龙赶珠纹，碗外壁上层近口沿处绘法轮、法螺、白盖、盘长、双鱼、莲花、宝伞、宝瓶等八吉祥纹饰，间以五彩如意云头纹一周。下腹主体饰对称五彩龙凤穿花戏珠纹，龙凤姿态各异，寓意“龙凤呈祥”，华丽富贵，彰显了浓郁的宫廷气息。碗底心青花书“大清道光年制”六字三行篆书款。
